Emergency Care

The emergency room at Shamrock General Hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is staffed with highly-trained physicians, advanced practice providers and nurses.


Our radiology department offers a wide-range of services, including CT scans, bone density testing, as well as chest, head, spine and extremity X-rays.

Physical Therapy

Our physical therapy department provides care to individuals who suffer from movement and functional difficulties from aging, disease, injury or environmental factors.

The Swing Bed Program at Shamrock General Hospital is for Medicare patients discharged from SGH or any other hospital following an acute illness, injury or surgery, who still need time and physical therapy to heal and strengthen before going home.

Our Clinic

Shamrock Family Care Clinic offers a variety of services to take care of the whole family and is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with administrative staff also available from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Meet our Hospital Leadership

Paul Burke

Paul Burke started in health care after working for Eide Bailly, a Top 25 accounting firm, for several years as an accounting manager specializing in healthcare accounting. His past work experience also includes public accounting, staff development, client services and management. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in management information systems from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Paul comes to Shamrock from Eldorado, Texas, where he spent the last ten years as administrator at Schleicher County Medical Center.

Jeanne Crossland

Jeanne Crossland has been at Shamrock General Hospital since 1994 as Chief Nursing Officer.  She worked at the VAMC in Amarillo who sent her to Amarillo College, Amarillo, TX where she received her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1978.  She then continued working at the VAMC in Amarillo, TX as a Graduate Nurse and then as an RN for several years.   She and her husband and children then moved to Stillwater, OK and she worked at Stillwater Medical Center for 4 years.  The family then moved to Grants Pass, Oregon, and she worked in ICU @ Josephine Memorial Hospital and loved it.  

Then the family moved back to Shamrock to be closer to family.  She returned to college in 1998 and received her BSN Degree from West Texas A & M University where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau.   She and her husband are both nurses and when not working, they love to travel.  They have 2 grown children with families which have given them 4 wonderful grandchildren that keep them very happy and busy.
